"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;

his love endures forever." 1 Chronicles 16:34

Thank you for partnering with us to help build up the Sweet Love of Jesus in your Child’s Heart. Your child is being encouraged through our weekly fellowship times to get in God’s Word, share with their peers their hopes and fears, and to keep finding ways to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

As we close out the 2021 year, it is with celebration as our GreenHouse 242 friend Izzy Underwood professed her faith and declared Jesus as Lord through baptism. We also wanted to share the Thank You card from Mrs. Wertz who really appreciated the service work of our students who gave up a Saturday to rake leaves. And lastly we want to encourage those who went to RUOK or Youth Explosion to spend some time with God about your experiences.

I hope the holidays are a season of joy and thanksgiving to reunite your family and friends together. We will continue to gather together at these upcoming events:

Sunday, Dec. 11 / 11:00 AM - 4:00PM — CHRISTMAS CAROLING (Drop off & pick up at church or join us in the caravan) Join us as we travel and spread the sweet love of Jesus through singing.

Wednesday, Dec. 15 /6:30-8:30 PM — THEMED NIGHT YOUTH CHRISTMAS PARTY (Come dressed as someone from the Christmas Story - for example Mary, wise men, shepherds, angels, find more character ideas from the Bible, Luke 2, Matthew 1, Matthew 2) Bring a white elephant gift to share.

Friday & Saturday, Jan. 14 & 15 /7:00 PM - 8:00 AM UP "ALMOST" ALL NIGHTER. Staying at First Friends Church and traveling to Kent State University Rec Center for swimming and other fun sports activities.

Please also continue praying for our Compassion Kids from the Dominican Republic - Mia & Frailyn. We want to lift them up so that they have good progress in school and learn the spiritual impact of worship and scriptures. MS & HS will resume collection of financial resources to send an additional holiday gift to them and their families.

One last thing, it is the time to be in prayer over your willingness and readiness to go on mission. Our plans are to serve through an Intergenerational Trip in Aliquippa, July 21st-24th with Make Ripple FAX and a Youth Trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina July 3rd - 8th with Youth Works.  Please send me feedback if it is stirring inside of your child to be the hands and feet of Jesus on one or both of these trips. We will have an info meeting about these trips toward the end of January.

If you every need anything, or want me to bring pork chops and my family to your house to have dinner together, send me a text at 330-966-2800, or message at bcroston@firstfirends.org. I would love to hear from you.

In Christ,

Ben Croston, Director of Middle School Ministries
